Swish® Quato™ 44 General Purpose Disinfectant
A study done on germ control demonstrated that a virus placed on an office doorknob and table had spread to 40-60 percent of the workers and visitors in the office within 2-4 hours. To prevent the spread of unhealthy microbes, surfaces should be consistently cleaned and sanitized. Specially formulated for healthcare facilities, this broad-spectrum concentrate is registered with the EPA in the U.S., and DIN, TPD, and PMRA in Canada. Safe and fast-acting, this disinfectant is an effective: Germicide, Virucide, Fungicide, and Mildewstat. Quickly disinfects against Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella choleraesuis, Salmonella schottmuelleri, Streptococcus faecalis, Streptococcus salivarus, Escherichia coli, and Herpes Simplex type 2.

Precleaned hard inanimate surfaces such as walls, floors, table tops
1. Add 80 mL (2.7 oz.) per 5 L (160 oz.) of water.
2. Apply solution with mop or cloth to wet thoroughly.
3. Allow to remain wet for 10 minutes.
4. Let air dry.
Toilet Bowls
1. Close off washroom to clean.
2. Flush toilet.
3. When water stops running, add 80 mL (2.7 oz.) quato™ 44 directly to the bowl water.
4. Swab making sure to get under rim.
5. Let stand 10 minutes.
6. Flush.
7. For heavily soiled areas, a precleaning step is required and recommended.
8. Prepare a fresh solution for each use.
Sanitization
To sanitize previously cleaned and rinsed non-porous food contact surfaces
1. Prepare 200 ppm active quaternary quato™ 44 solution by adding 44.44 mL (1.5 oz.)
quato™ 44 General Purpose Disinfectant per 10 L (320 oz.) of water.
To sanitize immobile items such as tanks, chopping blocks, counter tops
1. Flood the area with 200 ppm quato™ 44 solution or apply with a cloth making
sure, to wet all surfaces completely for at least 60 seconds.
2. Let air dry.
3. Prepare a fresh solution for each use.
To sanitize mobile items such as drinking glasses, eating utensils
1. Immerse in 200 ppm quato™ 44 solution for at least 60 seconds making sure
to immerse completely.
2. Remove and let air dry.
3. Prepare a fresh solution daily or more frequently as soil is apparent.
Swish® quato™ 44 General Purpose Disinfectant is an effective sanitizer when diluted in water
up to 250 ppm hardness (CaCO3).
Mildewstat
To control mold and mildew on precleaned, hard non-porous surfaces such as floors, walls,
table tops
1. Add 80 mL (2.7 oz.) per 5 L (160 oz.) of water.
2. Apply solution with a cloth or mop.
3. Making sure to wet all surfaces completely.
4. Let air dry.
5. Prepare a fresh solution for each use.
6. Repeat application at weekly intervals or when mildew growth reappears.
Efficacy tests have demonstrated that quato™ 44 General Purpose Disinfectant is an effective
Bactericide and fungicide in the presence of organic soil (5% blood serum).
Disinfection:

Fungicidal Activity:
At this level the product is also fungicidal against Pathogenic fungi,
Trichophyton mentagrophytes (Athletes Foot Fungus).
Virus Activity:
The product when used on environmental inanimate surface at 80 mL per 5L of water exhibits
effective virucidal activity against:
Influenza A2/Japan (representative of the common flu virus).
Herpes simplex Type 1 (causative agent of fever blisters and mononucleosis),
Adenovirus Type 2 (causative agent of upper respiratory infections), Vaccinia virus
(representative of the pox virus group), Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 (HIV-1),
Feline calicivirus, Norovirus (including Norwalk Virus) and Avian Influenza virus,
Type A (Turkey/Wis/66), H9N2, Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), Porcine Respiratory & Reproductive
Syndrome Virus (PRRSV).
This product has demonstrated effectiveness against Vaccinia and Influenza A virus and is
expected to inactivate all Influenza A viruses including 2009 (H1N1) pandemic Influenza A virus.
